COVID-19 update 01/03/2021
VEHICLE CLAIMS AND REPAIRS:
Please be aware that during the current lockdown, vehicle repairs in the Auckland region in particular are limited to essential services and purposes i.e. to get groceries or to seek health care. If your vehicle does not fall into that category as defined by the New Zealand Government, it is likely that your vehicle repair will be delayed until after the current lockdown situation is lifted. We understand the impact that this can have on our customers and we really appreciate your patience during this time.
Please also be aware that many repairers around the country still have a significant backlog following the other recent lockdowns. Parts supply remains an issue as local stocks are depleted, and resupply is heavily impacted by the impact COVID-19 has in the country of manufacture. With little air freight space available, the parts that are available often have to travel by sea freight. Combined, these factors will inevitably slow the rate at which we can effect repairs and get our customers’ vehicles back on the road. We also understand the impact this could have on our customers and we will work with our customers and our supply networks to do all we can to expedite repairs as much as possible. Again we really appreciate your patience during this time.
Changes to permitted forms of payment update 24/02/2021
REMOVAL OF CHEQUES:
Please be aware that from 31 Mar 2021, Protecta Insurance will no longer be accepting cheques as a form of payment. From that date if you have a Renewal that you would like to pay for in full you can do so through internet banking or in person at your local bank directly to the payee of Protecta Insurance NZ Ltd. Please state your full name as the Particulars; your Vehicle Registration as the Code and your Invoice or Policy Number as the Reference.
Or alternatively you can also pay in full by Visa or Mastercard through our Customer Services team on 0800 776 832.
